Ilyin Viktor Ivanovich
Definition: Junior Lieutenant of the Soviet Army, who in 1969 made an attempt on the life of Leonid Brezhnev
Reproduction methods:
Genus. in 1947 in Leningrad. In 1968 he graduated from the Leningrad Topographic College and was drafted into the army with the rank of junior lieutenant. He served in the 61st geodetic detachment of the Leningrad Military District in the city of Lomonosov. 01/21/1969 fired at a government motorcade, planning to kill Brezhnev. He was declared insane, in May 1970 he was placed in the Kazan Special Psychiatric Hospital, where he was kept in complete isolation in a solitary ward. In 1988, he was transferred to Leningrad, to the psychiatric hospital No. 3 named after Skvortsov-Stepanov. In 1990 he was released by the decision of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
