Genus. in Dimitrov. 5th year student of the Faculty of Chemistry of Donetsk University. In 1984 printed and pasted leaflets in Donetsk against the presence of Soviet troops in Afghanistan. With friends, he published an independent newspaper "Opinion", managed to publish 2 issues. Received an official warning from the KGB. He was expelled from the university, from candidates for membership in the CPSU, from the Komsomol. After perestroika, in 1989, it was restored at the university.
