Lived in Latvian SSR, Riga. Arrested on January 28, 1974 for distributing samizdat. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the LatSSR on 10/15/1974 under Article 65 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the LatSSR to 2 years in a penal colony and 2 years in exile. He served his term in Dubravlag. Decree of the PVS of the LatSSR of 10/17/1975 No. partially pardoned: released from exile.
