Born in 1908 in St. Petersburg; Latvian; from peasants; higher education - graduated from the Military Mechanical Institute in 1932, assigned to work at a closed defense plant in Kaspiysk. Worked as a shift supervisor in workshop No. 5 of plant 182. Arrested on December 7, 1937. The investigation was conducted in Makhachkala. Sentenced by a Special Meeting of the NKVD of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on February 22, 1938 under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in labor camp. In prison - in Oneglag (from December 1938 to 1941). From 1941 to 1946 - in Kargopoldag. After his release in 1946, he worked as a civilian employee at Kargopolspetsles. Rehabilitated by VT North Caucasus Military District on May 14, 1956.
