Genus. 10/04/1946 in the village of Novokrestyanovka, Stavropol Territory. In the early 1970s, he moved to Moscow, where he studied to become a food technologist.
Arrested 11/14/1984. Sentenced under Art. 188 and 227 to 5 years in maximum security camps. This was his second term: in 1982-1983, he had already served one year for his religious beliefs. To serve his sentence, he was sent to a camp in the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, where he received severe physical injuries. When his legs became swollen and he could no longer work in the logging camp, he was transferred to a maximum security colony in the Ulyanovsk region for “malicious disobedience to the camp administration.”
