Genus. in 1942 in the Ukrainian SSR, Kharkov region, Lozovaya; Ukrainian; secondary education; instructor of the regional financial department of the Leninsky district. Student at the Financial Institute. Lived in Moscow. He participated in the underground neo-Marxist student group “Union for Freedom of Mind” and distributed leaflets. Arrested 03/03/1962. Sentenced by the Moscow City Court on July 20, 1962 under Article 70 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, 72 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 6 years in a penal colony. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga and Vladimir prison. According to the memoirs of V.V. Ilyakov, in 1963 (?) with a group of prisoners under the leadership of Zaitsev escaped from Dubravlag, OLP No. 7. Released in 1968. After his release, fluent in English, he tried several times to enter the Institute of Foreign Languages, but was not accepted due to his criminal record. On the eve of his arrest, he worked at a factory. 06/15/1970. Participated in an attempt to hijack an airplane in Leningrad. Sentence to 14 years in labor camp. He served his sentence in Mordovian camps. In 1984 he was released from the camp. 06/04/1985 arrested, accused of violating the supervision regime, sentenced to 2 years in labor camp. In 1985, his letters from the camp were published in London. In 1987 he was released and went to Israel. Died on December 31, 1999 in New York.Author of the book: Murzhenko A. G.
