Definition: The oldest member of the Kharkov human rights group, one of four Kharkov residents convicted of signing letters with “anti-Soviet” content in 1969.

Born in 1933 in Kharkov; Ukrainian, higher education - mechanical engineer. He worked as a senior design engineer in the design office of the Teploenergomontazh trust in Kharkov. Arrested on February 3, 1970 for signing a letter to the Soviet government. Sentenced by the Kharkov Regional Court on March 11, 1970. according to Art. 187-1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 3 years of penal colony. He served his sentence in a colony in Zhelti Vody, Dnepropetrovsk region - institution 389/26. Released on January 31, 1973. Returned to Kharkov. Rehabilitated in 1991.
