Charged under Art. 15 paragraph "a" and art. 64 part 1, art. 92 part 2, art. 144 part 1, art. 218 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for attempting to transfer to the USA for publication materials about violations of human rights in the USSR, etc. According to the verdict of the Leningrad City Court dated October 26, 1979, he was sentenced to 13 years in prison with confiscation of property and subsequent exile for 5 years. In 1987, the remainder of the term was reduced by half. He was held in the Perm camps - ITC VS-389/37, 36, 35, in exile - in the Tomsk region. Released 01/03/1992. After his release he returned to St. Petersburg. According to the determination of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation dated 08/30/1994 under Art. 10 of the RSFSR Law of October 18, 1991 and Art. 378 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the RSFSR is not subject to rehabilitation.
