Sentenced by the Higher Military District of the Moscow Military District on 03/31/1959 for Zionist activities and anti-Soviet agitation to 5 years in labor camp. He served his sentence in Mordovia. Released on April 25, 1963. Arrested again in 1967. (1969?). In 1970 emigrated to Israel.
