Rein Evgeny Borisovich
Definition: Russian poet and prose writer
Reproduction methods:
Genus. in 1935 in Leningrad. In 1943, he and his mother returned from evacuation to Moscow, then to Leningrad. Graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute of the Refrigeration Industry (expelled in the 4th year), Higher Scriptwriting Courses. Author of scripts for over 20 documentaries. He worked in geological parties in the Far East, at Leningrad factories. In the 60s, he was part of the circle of the so-called “Akhmatov’s orphans” (together with Joseph Brodsky, Dmitry Bobyshev, Anatoly Naiman). In 1971 he moved to Moscow. In 1979 - participant in the Metropol almanac. Rhine's poems were distributed in samizdat, some of them were published in the magazine "Syntax". The first book was published in 1984 (“Names of Bridges”, with strong censorship).Laureate of the State Prize of Russia (1996), laureate of the Pushkin Prize of Russia, laureate of the Tsarskoye Selo Art Prize (1997). In 1987, the poet was admitted to the Writers' Union. Winner of the Poet Prize (2012). Currently he teaches at the department of literary creativity at the A. M. Gorky Literary Institute, and also directs a poetry seminar there. Lives in Moscow.
