Genus. 04/25/1931 in Moscow; since 1949 - Student of the Faculty of Physics, Moscow State University. Lived in Moscow. Arrested on the denunciation of one of the students in April 1950. on charges of participating in an anti-Soviet youth organization. Sentenced by OSO at the Ministry of State Security of the USSR on 09/08/1951 under Art. 17-58-10, 58-11 for 10 years of ITL. He stayed in the Minlag (Komi ASSR) for general work. He fell ill with tuberculosis. Released 06/30/1954. in connection with the dismissal of the case for lack of evidence of the elements of the crime. In 1955–1959 continued his studies. 1960–1963(?). studied in graduate school, in which he was accepted at the insistence of Academician L.D. Landau. In 1964 (?). defended his PhD thesis. In 1964–1990s. worked at the Physical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (FIAN). In the 1970s - 1980s. participated in the dissident movement. In autumn 1988 joined the Memorial Society and worked actively in it. In 1992 worked in the group of M.B. Mindlin in the KGB archive on Lubyanka to compile lists of the executed, the result of the work of the group was the appearance of the Book of Memory of the Victims of Political Repressions. Died 07.10.2003
