In the 1930s, during the strike of German sailors, when the ship was in Leningrad, he remained in the USSR and accepted citizenship. He worked as a mechanic at the plant named after. Max Goelz. Lived in Leningrad, emb. can. Griboedova, 34, apt. 3. Arrested in 1935. Arrested again on 02/02/1938. On April 14, 1938, the Commission of the NKVD and the Prosecutor's Office of the USSR sentenced under Art. Art. 58-6-9-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on April 30, 1938.
