Genus. in 1929 in Kyiv. In 1937, my father died in the Kolyma. In 1947 he entered the psychological department of the philosophical faculty of Moscow University. In January 1949 he was arrested. OSO of the NKVD of the USSR according to Art. 58-10, 11 of the Criminal Code was sentenced to 8 years. In September 1949, he escaped from the Taishet transfer, was detained for 3 days. Sentenced to 10 years in labor camp under Art. 58-14 of the Criminal Code. Released in October 1954, rehabilitated. He was reinstated at Moscow State University at the Faculty of Economics, graduated from it in 1963. In 1966 he completed his postgraduate studies at the Department of Statistics. He worked as a researcher at the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Academy of Sciences (CEMI). Engaged in human rights activities. Arrested at the end of 1969, sentenced to 5 years of exile in Podtesovo, Yenisei district of KK. In the autumn of 1971, the sentence was cancelled. Arrested in September 1972, sent into exile in Kalinin in October. 08/27 -09/01/1973 in Moscow, a trial was held against Yakir and Krasin. They were sentenced to short terms of imprisonment, soon replaced by a three-year exile. Both were released before the end of their exile. Emigrated to the USA with his wife in February 1975. American citizen since 1981. Published the book "The Judgment" in 1983. Returned to Russia in 1991, and then in 2003 returned to the USA again. In 2010 he returned to Russia again. Then he lived again in the USA. In 2012, he published in London a book of memoirs in Russian called "Duel. Notes of an Anti-Communist". He died in an Israeli clinic in Nahariya on 09/03/2017.
