Born in 1925 in Kiev; Jewish; secondary education. Student at the Gorky Literary Institute. Lived in Moscow. Arrested on 20.12.1947. Sentenced on 14.09.1948 by the Specialized Specialized Department of the USSR MGB as a Specialized Specialized Exile to 3 years of exile. Rehabilitated in 1956. Graduated from Literary Institute in 1959. In 1973 he emigrated to the USA.
