Genus. in 1878 in the village. Karakuba, Mariupol district, Ekaterinoslav province. In 1902 he graduated from the Ekaterinoslav Theological Seminary, in 1919 - from the Kyiv Theological Academy. From 1921 (1922) - Bishop of Boguslav and Lipovets, from 1926 - Bishop of Tarashchansky, from 1928 - Bishop of Dnepropetrovsk. In 1930 he was elevated to the rank of archbishop. He opposed the renovationist and autocephalous movements in Ukraine. Arrested in 1936. Sentenced by a special troika of the Ukrainian People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs in the Dnepropetrovsk region to VMN on charges of "an agent of Polish intelligence, participation in a counter-revolutionary church-fascist organization." Shot on November 30, 1937.
