Arrested in 1938 in Magadan. Placed in the Magadan internal prison. Investigators - Bronstein, Korsuntsev, Khudbykin, plenipotentiary. Kryuchevsky. By torture they were forced to give false confessions of sabotage and espionage, about which I.D. wrote a letter to Papanin on the lining of his jacket with a chemical pencil.
