Genus. in 1893 in the village. Keys of the Saratov region. In 1915-1916. was a member of the futuristic circle "Bloodless Murder". In 1919 she was sent to Vitebsk as a teacher at the People's Art School (later the Vitebsk Art and Practical Institute). Since 1921 - rector of the institute. Together with K.S. Malevich participated in the organization of UNOVIS (Approvers of the new art). In 1922 she returned to Petrograd, where she headed the color laboratory at GINKhUK (State Institute of Artistic Culture). In the late 1920s collaborated with the magazines "Sparrow", "New Robinson", "Chizh" and "Hedgehog". In 1929, together with the artists V. V. Sterligov, K. I. Rozhdestvensky, L. A. Yudin, N. M. Suetin, A. A. Leporskaya, she formed the “group of pictorial and plastic realism”. Arrested 12/25/1934 together with other artists of the group. Sentenced 03/29/1935 to 3 years in camps as a socially dangerous element. She served her sentence in Valley of the 3rd branch of the Karlag. At a meeting of the Troika of the UNKVD on September 20, 1937, she was sentenced to VMN under Art. 58-10, 11. Shot on 09/26/1937. Rehabilitated 09/20/1989.
