Genus. in 1913 in the village. Bullsey of the Verkhne-Ufaleisky district of the Chelyabinsk region in the family of a handicraft shoemaker. Convicted in 1932 for fabricating anonymous letters, served 1 month of forced labor. Education unfinished, until 1934 he worked as a teacher at the FZS school No. 15. Arrested on 02/22/1935 for a portrait of Stalin painted in April 1934 "with a counter-revolutionary meaning." Sentenced by a special board of the Sverdlovsk Regional Court on 04/08/1935 to 5 years in prison. After filing a complaint, the Special Collegium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR reduced the sentence to 1.5 years in prison.
