Genus. in 1899 s. Kutuzovo (Kutuzy) Bezvodnensky village, Pizhansky district, Kirov region; Russian. Graduated from the Petrograd Artillery School. In 1925 he was under arrest. Lived in Yaransk, Kirov region. He worked as the head of the 2nd level adult school in Yaransk. Arrested in 1928. Sentenced by a Special Meeting at the OGPU Collegium on September 22, 1928 under Art. 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR by the 3rd year of the ITL. In November 1929, by a special meeting, he was released early from punishment. Rehabilitated 04/18/1990. In the 1930s he worked at the Kotelnichesky Museum of Local Lore. In 1938 he lived in Gorky. Worked as a teacher at Komvuz. Arrested 03/10/1938. Sentenced by a Special Meeting on 06/03/1940 under Art. 17-58-8, 58-10 part 1 to 5 years of labor camp. 10/04/1942 released on parole. Since 1945 he lived in Mariinsk. He studied the nature of his region and was a full member of the Geographical Society of the USSR. In 1964 he moved to Kemerovo and was a member of the Nature Conservation Council. He spoke out (all alone) against the project to block the Tom River. Published in the magazines “Siberian Lights”, “News of the All-Union Geographical Society”, “Botanical Journal”, “Nature”, “Earth Science”, “Tourist”, in the collections: “Questions of Geography”, “Snow Cover”, “Native Nature”. Author of the books: “Natural conditions of the Kotelnichesky region”, “Essays on the nature of Kuzbass” (1956), “With a gun and a knapsack in the taiga” (1957), “Nature calendar of the Kemerovo region” (1960, 1963, 1972), “Sable trail” ( 1965), “Clouds beyond the mountain pass” (1968).
