Participant of the Civil War, member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1919. In 1919-1922 - studied at the Moscow Cavalry School of Red Commissars, in 1924-1927 - studied at the Moscow Party School of the Red Army. Since 1927 - regiment commissar. Since 1929, at the call of uncle Kalinin M.I. sent to Tver province for collectivization. In 1931 he was demobilized with the rank of divisional commissar. Since 1934 - at the Leningrad Industrial Academy, commandant of the Krasnoznamenets plant. Arrested in 1937 in connection with the arrest of Tukhachevsky and Gamarnik. Released at the request of M.I. Kalinin. In April 1938, the family returned from exile. He was not reinstated in the party, the orders were not returned. Participated in the Great Patriotic War with the rank of sergeant. Rehabilitated in 1954. In 1960, a personal pension was assigned. Died 1973
