Gogolashvili Alexander Borisovich
Genus. 02/23/1941 in Tbilisi; Georgian; b/p; higher education, journalist. Worked at Central Television. In May 1958, he was sentenced by the Supreme Court of the Adjara Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic under Art. 84 and Art. 19 to 1 year of the penal colony for attempting to cross the border in the Batumi region. Arrested in Adler, Krasnodar Territory, on April 22, 1980, an unfinished book about the events in Georgia in 1956 was confiscated. Sentenced on August 11-14, 1980 by a visiting session of the criminal board of the Krasnodar Regional Court under Art. 190-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 3 years of strict regime. He was kept in prison number 69/5 in the city of Apsheronsk, Krasnodar Territory. Released on July 7, 1983, sent to Kareli, Georgian SSR. After perestroika, he worked in the party organization of the Democratic Union party in Krasnodar. In 1992 he returned to Georgia and became a novice at the monastery. In 1994 he left for Russia and took monastic vows with the name Mark. Died on August 20, 2021 in the Syzran Ascension Monastery.
