Genus. in 1911 in St. Petersburg; secondary education. He worked as an artist in the editorial office of the children's magazine "Chizh" or "Hedgehog". Arrested on November 2, 1940 in Leningrad. Sentenced by the Leningrad City Court on July 11, 1941 under Art. 58-10, part 1 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 7 years in prison with loss of rights for 3 years. He died in prison in the city of Shuya. Rehabilitated by a resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR dated 06/07/1957.
