In the organs of the OGPU since 1926. In 1926–1928. assistant chief, then chief of the 1st department of the Eastern Department of the OGPU. In 1932–1936 head of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the OGPU of Kazakhstan for the Karaganda region and head of the NKVD for the same region. From February 1936 he headed the secret political department of the State Security Directorate of the NKVD of Kazakhstan, and from December 1936 he was deputy head of the NKVD for the Yaroslavl region. Then the People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, deputy head of the NKVD for the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and head of the Volgostroy department of the Volga camp of the NKVD. On 10/16/1938 he was arrested by the GUGD NKVD of the USSR as an active participant in an anti-Soviet conspiratorial organization in the NKVD and on 01/19/1940 he was sentenced to death by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR. Not rehabilitated.
