Sentenced in September 1949 by the military forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under Art. 58-10 (anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda and membership in the student circle "Cosmos") to 6 years in prison. He served in the Kalinin region. Sent for psychiatric examination. Released in December 1955. Rehabilitated by the RSFSR Armed Forces in 1965.
