Chainikov Kuzma Pavlovich
Genus. 2(14).01.1898 in the village. Bolshaya Dokya of the Vavozhskaya volost of the Vyatka province. (now Vavozhsky district of Udmurtia); votyak (Udmurt); higher education; non-partisan. Published since 1914. In 1916 he graduated from the Kuhor Teachers' Seminary, then the Higher Literary and Art Institute. V.Ya. Bryusov (1925) and postgraduate studies at the Research Institute of Ethnic and National Cultures of the Peoples of the East (1929); assistant professor. He published collections of folk songs and a number of articles on folklore and ethnography of the Udmurts. In 1926 - founder and first chairman of the All-Udmurt Association of Revolutionary Writers. Before his arrest, he was a teacher of the Udmurt language at the Izhevsk Pedagogical Institute and the Soviet Party School. Arrested on May 13, 1932 in Izhevsk. Under investigation in the city of Gorky, accused of leading a “k/r nationalist organization” (“the SOFIN case”). By the decision of the troika of the OGPU of 07/09/1933, he was sentenced under Art. 58-3, 4, 6, 8, 11 to be shot. By the decision of the KOGPU of 04.11.1933, the execution was replaced by 10 years of labor camp. Imprisoned in Belbaltlag (arrived on 12/11/1933 in the Kem branch). Since December 1933 he was in Solovki. By the decision of the Special Troika UNKVD LO dated 10/14/1937, he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on 11/01/1937 in the tract Sandormokh (Karelian ASSR). He was rehabilitated in the case of 1933 on May 23, 1958, in the case of 1937 - in 1961.
