Shtakelberg Alexander Alexandrovich
Entomologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences (1934)
Genus. in 1897 in St. Petersburg; nobleman. Graduated from Leningrad State University in 1920, entomologist. Researcher at the Zoological Museum. In 1929 he underwent a purge, without consequences. Arrested in 1938. Released 01/04/1940. Professor at Leningrad State University (1940), head of the department of entomology (1942-1948), department of insect taxonomy (1948-1965) of the Zoological Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Died 11/23/1975.
