He entered the monastery, was later tonsured into the mantle with the name Irinarch, and then ordained hieromonk. Josephite. Priest of the Church of the Intercession in Moscow, then in the churches of Serpukhov, Moscow region. According to some sources, he was expelled in 1929; according to others, he was arrested in 1929 as “a member of the counter-revolutionary organization “IPC””, sentenced to 3 years in labor camp and sent to a camp. In July 1932 he returned to Serpukhov and served in the Church of the Intercession. Address before arrest: 1st Kozhevennaya St., 8. Arrested in January 1933 as “a member of the Serpukhov branch of the counter-revolutionary monarchist church organization “IPC”.” By resolution of the Kogpu dated April 10, 1933, he was sentenced under Art. 58-10.11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to execution with replacement by 10 years of labor camp. Imprisoned in the Solovetsky camp; was kept at the Kremlin camp camp, and in 1937 transferred to prison regime. By resolution of the Special Troika of the UNKVD LO dated 10/09/1937 he was sentenced to VMN. Shot on November 3, 1937 in the Sandormokh tract (Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Rehabilitated.
