Romanchuk Petr Iosifovich
Resident of Tomsk, operator at a drying plant. In 1936, he was sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges, together with his brothers, of membership in the counter-revolutionary organization "Party of People's Heroes"
Born in the village of Nekhoroshevo, Semiluzhnaya volost, near Tomsk, in the family of a peasant immigrant from Poland. In 1936 he lived in the city of Tomsk and worked as an operator at a drying plant. Arrested on April 20, 1936, together with his father Iosif Iosifovich Romanchuk, brothers Franz, Alfons, Napoleon, Ivan, his brother’s wife Yadwiga and other Polish residents of the village of Mezheninovka. A total of 35 people were arrested in this case. All were accused of being members of a certain organization, the Party of People's Heroes. On September 19, 1936, everyone was sentenced to different terms of imprisonment. Peter was given 5 years of imprisonment in the Gulag. Rehabilitated in April 1990
