From 1927 to 1930 worked as a teacher of the Russian language at the Pedagogical College in the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1930 he moved to Leningrad, until 1934 he worked as a regional instructor of literature and the Russian language. Since 1935 he worked at the Karl May School as a teacher of Russian language and literature. Lived in Leningrad, Malaya Podyacheskaya street, 3, apt. 21. Arrested in 1938. Sentenced to 8 years in labor camp. Imprisoned in Oneglaga. After his release, he was sent into exile in the Kostroma region, where he lived for 4 years. Died on November 8, 1992 in St. Petersburg.
