Born August 21, 1905 in Artemovsk, Donetsk region, in the family of an engineer, at the age of 8 he became deaf from scarlet fever. He graduated from seven classes of a vocational school as an external student in 1920. In 1924 he came to Leningrad, in 1925 he entered the design bureau of the Zhdanov shipbuilding plant. Member of the All-Union Communist Party (bolsheviks) in 1930-1937. Member of the Society of the Deaf. Lived in Leningrad (Pestelya St., 13/15, apt. 29). In 1937 he worked as the head of the reinforcement group of Design Bureau No. 17 of the Zhdanov plant. Arrested in 1937, charged under Articles 17-58-8 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR with participation in an anti-Soviet fascist terrorist organization created among the deaf-mutes of Leningrad. Sentenced by the decision of the Specialized Directorate of the NKVD for the Leningrad Region on 19.12.1937 to 10 years in a labor camp. Released in 1940 (according to the house register, he returned from Arkhangelsk on 16.09.1939). Worked in the Central Design Bureau No. 17 of the People's Commissariat of Shipbuilding (Baltic Shipyard), head of the design team. Awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. Retired in 1966.
