Kosov Samuil Yakovlevich
Born in 1890 in Orel; Jewish; from a working class background; basic education; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) before his arrest. Lived in Kharkov. From 1919 to 1936 he worked as a tailor in a garment factory. He was arrested in 1936 and accused of counterrevolutionary Trotskyist activities. Sentenced on March 9, 1937 by a Special Conference of the NKVD of the USSR to 5 years in a correctional labor camp. Arrived at Sevvostlag of the NKVD of the USSR on June 9, 1937. While imprisoned, he was sentenced a second time on March 1 , 1938 by a troika at the NKVD Directorate for Dalstroi for participating in a counterrevolutionary insurrectionary organization and carrying out subversive activities by organizing mass sabotage of the capital. He was executed on March 10, 1938. He was shot between 10 and 14 March 1938 in the village of Khattyny (now the Yagodinsky district of the Magadan region).
Rehabilitated by the Presidium of the Magadan Regional Court on 10.04.1961.
