He was arrested in 1936. While in prison, he was sentenced by a troika of the NKVD Directorate for Dalstroi on 26.02.1938 for participating in a counterrevolutionary insurgent organization to capital punishment. He was shot on 08.03.1938. He was rehabilitated in May 1961.
