Kovarsky Efim Solomonovich
Director of the Sevkabel plant
Born in 1900 in Dvinsk, Vitebsk Governorate; Jewish; higher education - graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1931-1937. Director of the Sevkabel plant until August 4, 1937. Lived in Leningrad, Lesnoy Ave., Bldg. 61, Apt. 216. Arrested on October 25, 1937. Sentenced on November 22, 1937 by the Commission of the NKVD and the USSR Prosecutor's Office under Art. 58-6-7-9-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on November 27, 1937. Rehabilitated by the Military Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on May 30, 1957 .
On December 19, 2021, a personal memorial sign was installed at house No. 61 on Lesnoy Prospekt in St. Petersburg in memory of E.S. Kovarsky as part of the Last Address project.
