Born in 1901 in Baku; Polish; higher education - graduated from the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute; member of the All-Union Communist Party (bolsheviks) in 1930-1937. Deputy head of the technical department of the Sevkabel plant. Lived in Leningrad, Lesnoy Ave., bldg. 61, apt. 40. Arrested on 16.10.1937. Sentenced   By the Commission of the NKVD and the Prosecutor's Office of the USSR on 22.11.1937 under Art. 58-6-7-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. He was shot in Leningrad on 27.11.1937. He was rehabilitated in 1957.

On March 14, 2021, a personal memorial sign was installed at house No. 61 on Lesnoy Prospekt in St. Petersburg in memory of B.V. Zalevsky as part of the Last Address project.
