Before his arrest, he was the head of a department at the Institute of Television, a consultant at the geological exploration institute and the Pulkovo Observatory, and an associate professor at the university’s physics department. Arrested on the night from 10/31/1936 to 11/01/1936 on charges of terrorism under Art. 58-8 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (as amended in 1926) as a participant in the counter-revolution. fascist terrorist organization. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on May 25, 1937 to military service. Shot in Leningrad the next day. Rehabilitated by the ruling of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated September 15, 1956.
