Born in 1899 in the village of Abakanskoye (now the district center of Krasnoturansk); Russian. He escaped from Kolchak's army to the Shchetinkinsky red detachment. After the detachment was disbanded, he returned home and joined the ranks of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). He worked as a photographer. He was first arrested on April 19, 1931. He was held in the Minusinsk prison. He was sentenced on July 2, 1931 by a special troika of the OGPU of the Zapsibkrai.   under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years in a labor camp. Worked as a photographer in Belbaltlag. Released early in 1934. Re-arrested on July 1, 1936. Sentenced by a resolution of a special meeting on November 3, 1936   under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years in a labor camp. Released on June 11, 1942 ("overstayed" almost a year). Arrested again on November 1, 1944. Sentenced on January 6, 1945 by the Khakass Regional Court under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 10 years in a labor camp with 5 years of disqualification. While in the camp, arrested for the 4th time. Sentenced by the special camp court of the UITLiK NKVD Directorate of Krasnoyarsk Krai to 10 years with 5 years of disqualification. Released on May 23, 1955. Rehabilitated: in the first case by the Krasnoyarsk Territory Prosecutor's Office on March 30, 1989, in the second on August 4, 1989, in the third and fourth - on March 28, 1995.
