Born in 1885 in Nizhny Novgorod; higher education. Physicist, theorist of electrical exploration, professor (Physical-Technical Institute, Pedagogical Institute, Leningrad State University), consultant of the Geological Committee. Lived in Moscow. Arrested on 21.04.1936, charged under Art. 58-10, 58-11 (geophysical branch of the "Pulkovo case"). Sentenced on 25.05.1937 by an off-site session of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR to 10 years in a labor camp and 5 years of disqualification, with confiscation of property. Sentenced to Taishet, in 1938 transferred to Oryol prison, in the fall of 1940 transferred to Ukhtizhemlag. Died in the city of Gorky in the prison hospital on 06.01.1944. Rehabilitated by the USSR Armed Forces Committee on 08.12.1956.
