Benois Olga Eliseevna (Eduardovna)
Genus. in 1914 in Petrograd. After the revolution, he emigrated to Latvia due to changes in state borders. Graduated from the women's gymnasium L.I. Tailova, studied at the Academy of Arts of Latvia in the painting class (up to 3rd year). During the war, she worked in an orphanage for children who came to Riga from the Osvey and Sebezh villages destroyed by the Germans and who collaborated with the partisans. Arrested in February 1945. Sentenced by the Military Tribunal of the NKVD troops of the Latvian SSR on April 30, 1945 to 10 years in prison. In custody in the Norilsk 9 and 6 camp departments - from April 30, 1945 to October 10, 1954 (the term of imprisonment was reduced by 5 months due to tests). She was left at a special settlement there, in Norilsk. Removed from the special settlement and released in May 1956, she returned to Riga. Rehabilitated.
