Benois (Waldman) Olga Fedorovna
Genus. in 1891 in St. Petersburg; Graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory in singing. After the revolution, he emigrated to Latvia due to changes in state borders. During the Second World War - chairman of the ladies' committee at the Riga Cathedral, which collected donations for captured soldiers and orphaned children. After the occupation of Riga by Soviet troops, she was arrested on 01/09/1945, and spent about four months in the internal prison of the NKVD and in the Riga Central Prison. In early May, she was sent to one of the women’s camp colonies of the 1st Shirokstroy branch of the NKVD of the USSR. In the fall of 1946, upon completion of the investigation, she was sentenced in absentia to 5 years of imprisonment in a correctional labor camp and 3 years of exile. After her release she returned to Riga.
