08/04/1960 b. Place of birth: Batumi (Autonomous Republic of Adjara), Georgia. Education: In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Tbilisi State University. He was one of the founders of the Republican Party of Georgia in 1978. Since then he has been a member of the party's national committee. In 1983-85. served a sentence for anti-Soviet propaganda and distribution of Samizdat and the magazine Samreklo, including in prison No. 1 in Ryazan. In 1986-90 worked at a research institute in Batumi. In 1988-1990 - Member of the executive body of the Ilia Chavchavadze Society and the Popular Front of Georgia.
