Berdzenishvili David Valeryanovich
08/04/1960 b. Place of birth: Batumi (Autonomous Republic of Adjara), Georgia. Education: In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Tbilisi State University. He was one of the founders of the Republican Party of Georgia in 1978. Since then he has been a member of the party's national committee. In 1983-85. served a sentence for anti-Soviet propaganda and distribution of Samizdat and the magazine Samreklo, including in prison No. 1 in Ryazan. In 1986-90 worked at a research institute in Batumi. In 1988-1990 - Member of the executive body of the Ilia Chavchavadze Society and the Popular Front of Georgia. In 1990-1991 - Majoritarian deputy, Batumi district of the Supreme Council of Georgia from the Republican Party (was a member of the opposition faction "Democratic Center"). In 1991-1996 - Member of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (was a member of the opposition faction "Adjara"). In 1992-95 - Member of the Georgian Parliament (opposition faction "Republicans"). In 1998-2002 - political commentator for Radio Liberty. From March 2000-2005 - Chairman of the Republican Party. In 2002-2004 - Chairman of the faction "National Movement - Democratic Front" in the city assembly (sakrebulo) of Tbilisi. 2004-2008 - Member of the Georgian Parliament [opposition faction - “Republicans”, chairman]. 2009 - Political Secretary of the Republican Party. 2012 - Parliament Chairman of the Georgian Dream Republican faction, member of the bureau.
