Gaenko Vladimir Nikolaevich

Genus. in 1937 in the village. Moving to Krestetsky district, Novgorod region. Graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute in 1961, postgraduate student at the Department of Technology of Artificial Radioactive Elements at LTI. Member of the underground Marxist group "Union of Communards" ("Bell"). Arrested on June 12, 1965 in Leningrad, sentenced on November 26, 1965 by the Leningrad City Court under Art. Art. 70-1 and 72 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 4 years of labor camp. In conclusion - in camp ZH 385/11 (village Yavas, Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Released in 1969, he returned to Leningrad. He worked as an engineer at the Gipronickel Research Institute, and since 1980 - head of the laboratory at LISI. In 1981-1984. - Manager of the Russian Public Fund for Assistance to Political Prisoners. Since the early 1990s. took an active part in the activities of the St. Petersburg Memorial Society. Retired since 1997.
