Ma Hong, aka Yui Jiang-Hung, Yui Shi-Lin, Chen Shuang-Wao, Tung Chih-Pei
Born in 1941; Chinese; citizen of the PRC. In 1968 he fled to the USSR. Worked as a mechanic at the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant in Temir-Tau, Karaganda region, Kazakh SSR. Participated in a KGB-inspired anti-Maoist "organization". Arrested in 1972, accused of espionage. Sentenced by the military tribunal of the Central Asian Military District on November 30, 1973 under Articles 15 and 51 of the Criminal Code of the Kazakh SSR to 10 years' imprisonment, with the first 5 years to be served in prison and the subsequent 5 years in a strict regime penal colony, with confiscation of property and exile for a term of 5 years. Political prisoner from 1972 to 1976. Held in Vladimir prison. 22.10.1975 transferred to Alma-Ata for a review of the case. The charge was re-qualified to "illegal border crossing". Released early. After his release, he lived in the settlement "Pobeda" (Khabarovsk Krai), worked in the timber industry enterprise. Subjected to persecution: interrogated in the case of L.G. Lukyanenko (1978), T.M. Velikanova (1980).
