Definition: Poet, literary critic, dissident, human rights activist, laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T.G. Shevchenko (1994, posthumously)

Genus. in 1929 in the village. Polovinkina, Lugansk region. In 1952 he graduated from Kharkov University. In 1957-1963 - Researcher at the Institute of Literature named after T.G. Shevchenko, Institute of Philosophy of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences. Arrested on January 13, 1972 for human rights activities. Sentenced by the Kyiv Regional Court on April 27, 1973 under Article 62 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 7 years in a penal colony and 5 years in exile. He served his term in the Perm camps, and exile in the Altai Territory. Released in 1983. Died 10/25/1992.
