Khakhaev Sergey Dmitrievich
Born September 24, 1938 in Leningrad; Russian; higher education, graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute in 1960; chemical engineer, engineer at the Krylov Central Research Institute. Arrested June 12, 1965. Sentenced by the Leningrad City Court on November 26, 1965 under Article 70, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, Article 72 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 7 years in a penal colony and 3 years in exile. Imprisoned in Dubravlag, in exile - in the village of Ust-Abakan (Krasnoyarsk Territory). In exile, he married V.I. Chikatuyeva, who was convicted in the same case. After returning from exile, he lived in the city of Luga, Leningrad Region. Chairman of the Board of the St. Petersburg charitable historical and educational human rights public organization "Memorial". Member of the Human Rights Council of St. Petersburg. He died on December 5, 2016 in Saint Petersburg and was buried at the Volkovskoye Cemetery.
