Shkilevsky Yakov Abramovich
Definition: Senior engineer of the Lengiprotrans Institute, who stood up for I. Brodsky (1963)

Genus. 02.12.1915 in Petrograd. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. He studied at the Leningrad Mining Institute. Lived in Leningrad, worked as a senior engineer at the Lengiprotrans Institute. In 1963, he wrote letters to the editors of central newspapers and to the editors of the newspaper "Evening Leningrad", which published an article by Lerner, Medvedev and Ionin "The Near-Literary Drone", in which Brodsky was accused of a "parasitic lifestyle." In the letter he expressed his disagreement with the accusations to Brodsky. The authors of the article went to court. On 10/02/1964 he was sentenced by the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Leningrad to 6 months of correctional labor with a monthly deduction of 15% of his salary. for deliberate humiliation of honor and dignity, Art. 131-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. By resolution of the Presidium of the Leningrad City Court dated April 4, 1990, the case was dismissed for lack of corpus delicti. Member of the Memorial Society since 1992. Died in St. Petersburg in March 1996.
