Zubovsky Sergey Faddeevich
Serviceman
Born in 1869 (according to the house register, in 1872) in the city of Vilnius; Russian; no name; graduated from the Polotsk Cadet Corps (1888) and the Mikhailovskoye Artillery School. Colonel of the Russian Imperial Army, participant in World War I. In 1918 - head of the Higher Artillery School in Detskoye Selo. He was arrested by the Luga Cheka in 1918 and in 1919. In 1937 he was a teacher of tactics and air defense at the Leningrad Chemical-Technological Institute. Lived in Leningrad (43 Marata St., Apt. 2). Arrested on 01.11.1937. Sentenced by the resolution of the NKVD Commission and the USSR Prosecutor on 11.12.1937 under Art. 58-6-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. Shot on 20.12.1937. Rehabilitated by the Leningrad Military District Military Tribunal on 12.09.1960.
On March 19, 2017, a personal memorial sign was installed on house No. 43 on Marata Street in St. Petersburg in memory of S.F. Zubovsky as part of the Last Address project.
