Born in 1887 in the village of Smorodinovo, Saratov Province; Russian; from a peasant family; basic education; expelled from the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1934. Chairman of the Petrograd Provincial Cheka in 1919-1920. From September 1920 - authorized representative of the All-Union Cheka in the South-Eastern Territory. In 1934, he worked as manager of the Main Energy Grid. Lived in Moscow, Khokhlovsky Lane, Bldg. 11, Apt. 13. Arrested on 09.12.1934. Accused of leading a counter-revolutionary terrorist organization. Sentenced by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the USSR on 16.01.1935 to 8 years in prison. Imprisoned in the Chelyabinsk Special Purpose Prison. Accused of participating in a counter-revolutionary terrorist organization. Sentenced to capital punishment by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 24.08.1936. Executed on 25.08.1936 in Moscow. Burial place: Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 13.07.1988.
