In 1940–1942 he worked as a mathematics teacher in Makaryevskaya rural secondary school (Vetluzhsky district, Gorky region). In 1942 he returned to Kuibyshev and entered the third year of the mathematics department of the KSPI Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, where he studied until June 1944; in the fourth year he was a Stalin scholarship holder. Since 1954 - Candidate, since 1963 - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor.
