Grinevich Alexander Nikolaevich
Born July 6, 1897 in Yelets, Oryol province, in the family of a stove-maker. From 1916, after graduating from college in Tashkent, he was a student at the Petrograd Technological Institute. From the beginning of the war he was an employee of the construction department in Tashkent. From 1919 he was a student of the mechanical department of Turkestan University, but after a month of study he was called up to the Red Army. After demobilization, he returned to the Technological Institute. He interrupted his studies several times, as he suffered from a severe form of malaria and had to support his child and elderly mother. In 1930 he was transferred to LMSI (Leningrad Machine-Building Institute). In 1931 he was expelled for failure to attend classes. Before his arrest, he was a design engineer at the Gipromez Institute. Arrested October 4, 1936. Sentenced by the decree of the Supreme Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 23, 1937 under Art. 58-8.11 to the maximum punishment. Shot on 23.05.1937.
